How To Overwinter Your Tomato Plants

Re-rooting tomato cuttings over winter is the easiest way to overwinter them.

Start pruning your tomato plant until the main stem has a few nodes.

Trim all leaves and carefully dig around your tomato plants to release their roots.

Carefully remove the plant from the pot and cut the roots to 10-12 inches.

After that, dip the plant in water, neem oil, and soap solution.

Add one teaspoon of liquid soap and the equal quantity of neem oil to a half-filled bucket and mix.

Dip the tomato plant slowly into the solution to remove excess soil from the roots.

Soak it upside down, then put it in a pot with care, filling it with potting mix to within an inch or two of the roots.
